Loving Vincent

My Life As A Courgette

My Life As A Courgette was nominated for a Golden Globe and Academy Award as Best Animated Feature.  Following his mother’s death, a nine-year-old boy, nicknamed ‘Courgette’, is taken by a kindly cop to a children’s home.  Here he teams up with bully Simon to foil a grasping aunt’s plan to reclaim her niece.  The only downside to this charming and thought-provoking gem is that it lasts a mere 66 minutes.
