Django Unchained on Feb 14th

Tarantino returns dizzily to form with a horribly funny slavery western - and Samuel L Jackson is extraordinary as the ultimate Uncle Tom figure.

Bounty hunter Dr KIng Schulz frees a slave named Django to help him track down three outlaw brothers.  The pair partner up and decide to free Django's wife from a local plantation owner.

This brilliant and brutal revenge western is set among the slave plantations of pre-civil war America.  It is partly based on the 1960s cult Django westerns starring Franco Nero, (who returns in cameo here) and partly on the notorious 1975 exploitation picture Mandingo, but it's distinctive on its own fantastically outrageous terms; an audaciously and horribly funny comic-book nightmare.

Great turns from Jamie Foxx, Leonardo di Caprio, Christoph Waltz and Kerry Washington but all are utterly upstaged by Samuel L Jackson who gives an extraordinary performance.
